Our mission is to create a worker and supplier-owned marketplace that champions small businesses, and serves as a viable alternative to power-hungry behemoths like Amazon and Wal-Mart.

What makes Nice Planet an 'ethical' alternative to Amazon, Walmart, etc.?

To put it in the simplest possible terms, Nice Planet was started with values at the forefront of our mission, rather than profit or power.

Our pledge is to always put people and the planet above money. By choosing to become a worker and supplier-owned company, we ensure there is equitable distribution of the rewards that come with your decision to shop at Nice Planet.

Our Sustainability Pledge

At Nice Planet, we believe sustainability isn't only an environmental concern. While our planet is undoubtedly in need of massive action, there are many other aspects of day to day life that simply are not sustainable for anyone other than greedy billionaires.

For starters, the working conditions created by Amazon and its ilk are notoriously awful. On top of these conditions, these companies commit numerous deceptive practices for consumers and their suppliers. By actively competing with many of their suppliers, Amazon has slowly gained enormous market share across numerous categories - leaving their customers with less selection, and paying higher prices for inferior quality products.

This isn't a sustainable practice. Nice Planet pledges to never participate in such practices. We believe instead in amplifying and supporting a vibrant landscape of thriving small businesses and brands, by providing them with a low cost, high visibility platform to sell their products.

Of course, we are also very eager to align ourselves with products and brands that are environmentally-conscious, sustainable, ethically sourced, and led by the values we cherish.

Where does Nice Planet stand on social issues?

Nice Planet is proudly supportive of progressive social policies. We believe women, minority groups, the LGBTQIA+ community, and other marginalized people require not only basic human rights, but also a seat at the table. We will forever do what we can to amplify these voices, and to take their input to heart in any decisions we make.
